Arne Schuber

Arne is the managing director of the Wedework Guesthouse and grew up here in the house. His mother successfully ran the previous business, the Schuber Guesthouse, for around 30 years. It goes without saying that he was already helping out in the business as a teenager.

After finishing school, he moved to Munich – first to study, then to work. As a PR consultant, he handled communications for sports equipment and outdoor brands until he set up his own business with Kite Magazine. There, he is editor-in-chief and writes about everything happening in the world of kitesurfing. Its sister publication is Wing Surfers Magazine, featuring news, reviews, spot reports, tutorials and plenty of entertainment from the world of wingfoiling.

When he’s not working at the guesthouse or out on a surfboard, Arne devotes his time to his latest hobby: fishing.

Julia Fell

Together with Arne, Julia runs the show and takes care of everything that needs doing – from bookkeeping to marketing.

As a born creative, she has a keen aesthetic sense and an eye for detail. She works freelance in the fields of photo editing and PR, and leads creative workshops for teams. You can find out more about Julia’s work on her website www.juliafell.de.

In her spare time, she loves nothing more than lacing up her running shoes and is happy to tell you where the best jogging routes in the area are. If there’s nothing to do in the office, she lets off steam in the garden, grows vegetables and is passionate about cooking. What’s more, at the proud age of 39, she has fulfilled a childhood dream and taken up horse riding.

Astrid Molkenstroth

Astrid is the heart and soul of the house and makes sure everything is spotless, tidy and well organised. Her warm and cheerful nature bring a smile to the face of even the grumpiest morning grouch.

She is a real all-rounder and never at a loss when it comes to tackling a problem – even if it means using a drill, pipe wrench or orbital sander.

Outside of work, Astrid lovingly looks after her animals. She keeps horses, cats, runner ducks and dogs, with whom she enjoys walking through the fields of Wedemark.

our chickens

Behind the house, in a separate part of the garden, lives our little flock of chickens. Their enclosure is out of sight of our guests, so that nobody feels disturbed. You are, of course, welcome to say hello to our chickens, but we ask that you do not enter the enclosure.

Despite the extra-large run, one of our chickens occasionally escapes and peeks curiously around the corner. But don’t worry, our garden dinosaurs are completely harmless and find their way back to the coop all by themselves. And even if they pounce on treats as if there were no tomorrow – our hens are well looked after and get plenty of food. Please do not feed the animals and do not throw any food or kitchen waste into their enclosure.
